Hello, Haymaker Subscribers!
As you might have guessed, we will not be running any Monday/Friday content this week (though we might push out a Premium Resources note for our Founding Members; TBD). Take a breath — we will be back next week, though it’s not clear how well our return piece will compete with Cyber Monday. Godspeed to you all with this season’s bargain hunting! Based on the latest trends in retail spending, America’s stores can use your help.
Aside from enjoying the Thanksgiving holiday with friends + family (which we sincerely hope all of you plan to do, as well!), we will also be spending some time preparing for next week’s “End of the Year” webinar, the first part of a two-part series we’ll be hosting for Founding Members and several Evergreen clients.
Part I of the series, which is set for November 30th, will focus on how 2023 has panned out (basically a “What Dave got right and wrong…” session), while Part II, which will likely run a week prior to Christmas, will be based on his 2024 “anticipations”. Both parts will reserve plenty of time for candid Q/A with Dave. If you’ve been wanting to pick the Haymaker’s brain on all things market & finance, that’ll be a great opportunity for you.
For those among you who could use a larger helping of deep-dive insights, our monthly webinar series is just what you’re looking for. Based on your feedback, we are also considering disseminating brief trading alerts, at least on asset classes, not just on Fridays but whenever we believe circumstances warrant. Please let us know how you feel about that enhancement. So, upgrade to our Founding Member tier today and keep an eye out for your webinar invitation!
Okay, webinar pitch complete. We really do hope you can find some time over the next few days to step away from the often stress-inducing world of finance and relax for some good food in the company of caring people… not to mention your in-laws! It might be time to add a new item to the “No religion or politics” maxim of family dinners — the new version should be, “No religion, no politics, and no Federal Reserve talk!”
Publishing for you all twice a week (thrice for Founding Members!) has been a wonderful endeavor throughout 2023, our first full calendar year on Substack. In this week of thanks, that’s something for which we truly are thankful. One more month to go then it’s off to 2024 and a thousand more ideas to share with our loyal subscribers.
Enjoy your Thanksgiving weekend!
-Team Haymaker
