Many political pundits have noted Donald Trump’s populist proclivities. Meanwhile, the Democrat party continues to move stage left, with perhaps the most shocking example being the newly elected NYC mayor Zohran Mamdani. As many others have noted, having an arch-socialist as the political leader of the world’s capital of, yes, capitalism is ironic in the extreme, if not equally disturbing.
