While spiking oil prices have attracted most of the planet’s attention in the wake of the latest Mid-East war, natural gas prices in Europe are where the most dramatic energy action has occurred. The main European gas benchmark has erupted by roughly 50%, primarily due to the fact that about 20% of global liquefied natural gas (LNG) is transported through the Strait of Hormuz.
