Leading U.S. natural gas producers such as Range Resources (RRC) have been in steady uptrends over the past five years. In RRC’s case, it has produced a pleasing pattern of sequential new highs. Despite that steady appreciation, it is trading at just 9.4x this year’s earnings estimate. It has also pulled back about 15% from its peak late last month.
