Hello and Happy Friday, Haymaker Fans and Subscribers!
I’m excited to announce a new service for all paid subscribers and Founding Members: Ask Haymaker Anything (AHA)
AHAs are your very own weekly opportunity to pick my brain on all things high-finance (and even low-finance, like meme coins!), stocks, bonds, Fed policy, global economics, international trade, commodities, and — drum roll — ENERGY. We really like that last one in Haymaker World, so bring some SMR (Small Modular Reactor) questions if you’d like to kick the conversation off in “energizing” style. As you may have noticed, nearly every day there are media stories about the soaring interest in SMRs, my personal favorite to usher in humanity’s next era of peace and prosperity. (The good Lord needs we need a lot more of both of those these days!)
We’ll begin every AHA with a look at a telling chart or a timely headline then move right into Open Mic Mode where you’ll be welcome to ask away on your own favorite topics. Time is precious and we don’t want to waste our own any more than we want to waste yours, so we’ll be blocking off no more than 45 minutes for the first AHA. If we need to add another five or ten for the next go-round, that’s perfectly fine. Just bring your best questions and I’ll fire back with my best answers.
It’s likely we’ll have special guests from the Evergreen or Gavekal crews on occasion, but these sessions are primarily designed to get you some face time with this newsletter’s namesake.
And for those of you who haven’t yet become paid subscribers…
On top of the standard package of top-notch subscriber perks (full Making Hay Monday access and semi-regular Trading Alerts) you’ll now have a weekly opportunity to put your financial questions to the Haymaker.
Premium financial/market insights like the ones we offer every week are absolutely worth a modest monthly investment.
As of now, Ask Haymaker Anything will effectively replace our Friday Haymakers, which have tended more towards guest posts in recent months. We will continue running content from the Haymaker’s network of peers, journalists, and colleagues, but likely on a monthly rather than weekly basis.
And while we’re on the subject, let us know here what you’ve thought of our editorially focused content over the years. As you’ve seen, my team and I made some adjustments to our Making Hay Monday format to more succinctly present our weekly asset-class lists. That said, if there elements of the Friday Haymakers about which you feel strongly, leave us a comment below.
A brief pre-election message:
