Hello, Readers!
Before sending you off to enjoy a conversation between two of the elder Haymaker’s favorite contemporaries — Luke Gromen of Forest for the Trees and Vincent Deluard of StoneX — we have a couple of announcements to make. (A little below the paywall, we have created a summary of this discussion for subscribers who would like the “Reader’s Digest” version.)
First, we will be hosting our final Ask Haymaker Anything! (AHA!) of 2024 one week from today at 10:00 Pacific time. We encourage you all to join us for an hour or so of high-finance dialogue with Dave as we get ready to close out the year. As with every AHA!, the floor is yours to ask away on all things related to the stock market, Federal Reserve policy, economic outlooks, and commodities / energy. Look for your Webinar invitation from Haymaker team member Adam Hay in the next day or so, and don’t hesitate to reply with any questions you’d like Dave to consider prior to our gathering.
Second, next week’s Making Hay Monday edition will be centered on a trading alert, one we expect will be of interest to those of you who are currently active in the markets, managing money for others, or actively engaged with the country’s macroeconomic circumstances. If you’re interested in keeping up with our more investment-minded insights but haven’t yet upgraded to paid status, consider doing so today!
The Haymaker Team
Earlier this week, we were fortunate to attend a StoneX-hosted webinar in which the host, Vincent Deluard, put a series of thoughtful questions to his luminous guest, Luke Gromen, whose newsletter Forest for the Trees is a heavyweight presence in the crowded space (trust us, we know) of financial commentary. We’ll let these two speak for themselves, but as a primer here’s an overview/recap of the topics covered throughout the roughly hour-long discussion.
